This is a blog post about eating bugs. My auntie told me the proper name for eating bugs is entomophagy. "Entomos" is Greek for "insect" and "phagein" means "to eat" so together it means eating bugs. Eating bugs might seem gross, but people have eaten bugs for a long time all over the world. Bugs are high in protein and they're cute. You can even grow them yourself in a tiny farm.
I learned about entomophagy when I was watching Andrew Zimmern. I thought if he could eat bugs, I could too. My auntie and I talked about it for a long time, then finally I got my wish. I got to eat bugs. My mom bought us a bug buffet. She got crickets in bacon & cheddar, sour cream & onion, and salt & vinegar flavors. She also got dessert!
