very intelligent people who have constructed a paradigm that's too small for God. They want evidence? they can't see the forest for the trees. Their minds are trained to see only that which can be empirically analyzed. Anything beyond the natural, measurable world doesn't fit in their worldview. They can't describe why gravity works or where all the energy in universe originated but won't consider God? Unfortunately their minds have been predisposed by major world religions to paint a picture of God that is not accurate and distasteful. It's interesting if not annoying to hear such statements beginning with "God would (or wouldn't)..." like hearing a lump of clay tell the potter what he should be up to. If God exists, our best choice is to seek him/her/it imho.
