What was your first favourite song?

I am being nostalgic today. I took a stroll down memory lane while listening to the tunes I enjoyed in my childhood years. It evoked memories of a time of innocence, laughter, exploration, no responsibilities, and frolicking. K maybe I am going just a bit too far with the frolicking... :P I just listened to the first song that I ever remember enjoying.

My Dad was really into Rush and my parents took me to one of their concerts when I young so they were my first favorite band. I still really appreciate those guys; they're amazing.

We sang songs in school like "Home on the Range", but the first recorded song that comes to mind is "Little Doggy in the Window" and "Little Lambs Eat Ivy". My mother sang for USO shows and wanted to be Hollywood Star. She would sing the songs I mentioned.

Can I do this? Reply to your song with one you made think of? This song came much later in my life but "Bicycle Race" made me think of it. Roller Skate Key ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxEPV4kolz0. I lived in Hollywood, California from 4 to about 8, when we moved to the valley, and I became a valley girl. In Holllywood, there wasn't much for children in the apartments to do, except to skate around and around the block. I remember that as a lot of fun, and have a pair of hard steel, clamp on skates with leather straps and a key, just like the ones I had when I was a child. The skates sit on my book shelve and remind me good times.

Micheal Jackson - Bad.

I used to go crazy about it when I was a kid :P
Mum had it on a mixed music video tape that she'd put on for parties etc.

From there onwards I was a hardcore MJ fan, I even went to his concert when he came to NZ in my early teens.
I had to work my butt off around the farm to earn enough money for the ticket, and it was well worth the effort!
