Apology and appeal for the lifting of a ban

This is an appeal to have, what appears to be, a life-time ban on my IP [20:17] * toucana sets mode: +b *!*wf@*.108-20-96.mc.videotron.ca and [20:32] * The_Oracle sets mode: +b *!?wf@*.mc.videotron.ca [20:32] * You were kicked by The_Oracle (...and don't come back.)

At the time, I was using the nickname 'JP. What happened, is that, for starters, I overused the !topic command. Then I wrote "I didn't ask you" to an operator, for which i was kicked for as this comment was deemed ill-mannered. Upon returning to the channel, I continued commenting on the subject of "being right", that only those with power can ultimately be right. It is at this time that I commented on two operators of this channel (hughw, toucana), stating that they were acting in such a way, that is, using the power of operating to be right.

I apologies for putting both of these operators under such a light, and promise to never do so again and to resorting to manners, consistent with what is being expected in the philosophy channel. Irrespective of your decision, I think you for considering this request.

I haven't gotten a chance to talk to either of the Sops, toucana or _galadriel_, about this. You might try contacting them directly by messaging them on Dalnet.

You can also try sending them a PM on the forums.

OK, the SOps have discussed this one and agreed to lift the bans and the +k handle in our Eggdrop bot. You should now be able to join #philosophy once more.

Please do not overuse the !topic and !quote commands in channel, it's a distraction and annoyance to other users if they are yanked repetitively like a slot machine handle.

Please cooperate with the @s in future if they speak to you.
