After a few days of using this feature, I have to say that having the forums on my blackberry is SWEET.

There won't be an app for that, unless someone here picks up the task for their own fun. Dho, I just found out you left academia. Good on you mate!

Thats a bummer. I get Toll Free Service through my company and they only provide iPhones not blackberrys. Itd be nice to see an iphone app. :(

We've discontinued "post" RSS, so you're not missing out :)

If you want to get the RSS for the News Forums, you can use any RSS feed app on your iphone for that.

And how about us Blackberry Users???????? Is there an app for us, less fortunate, non-iphone users?
Thanks,
C.B.

I'm content with using the Dolphin browser on my Android. Gestures and swype ftw!

Now, if only the forum included automatic embeds for youtube like some other sites. Would be a nice feature to easily link informative videos like the daily news.

On some sites, like this keys and synths forum that I visit regularly, you can embed youtube videos.

You simply use [youtube]xxxyyzzz[/youtube], where the xxxyyzzz is the portion in the youtube url that comes at the end after the = sign. What you get in your post is an embedded player with the video ready to play as soon as you click on the play button. You can see the first frame, and can list multiple videos, so this way it's much easier, quicker, and more intuitive to preview or showcase what you need to see, rather than bouncing thru multiple browser windows.

On my Android, it will automatically play the video fullscreen. Very handy. Here's a direct sample:

By using BBcode, just as you described. Look at our posting form, you'll find the youtube button right under the "code" button.
